We speak to Fred Harris, former U.S. Senator for Oklahoma, and published author, who served on and is the last remaining member of the commission. We are also joined by, Janine Jackson, Program Director of FAIR the Media Watch group, and co-producer and host of FAIR’s syndicated radio show Counterspin. And we’ll hear from Joseph Torres, Senior Director of Strategy & Engagement for Free Press and co-author of the New York Times Bestseller, “News for all the People: The Epic Story of Race and the American Media.” This program was produced in partnership with the Media Makers of Color Alliance who uplift the stories necessary to shift the narrative of people of color in the media.
