This week on Generation Justice, we learned about the importance of Acequias in New Mexico. Hear about the preservation work of the Center for Social Sustainable System (CESSOS) and all they do to preserve ways of life and traditions in the Valle de Atrisco (South Valley, NM) through research, advocacy, education, and policy development. We speak with Alejandria Lyons, Acequias Placemaking/Socio-Cultural Space activist and Master’s candidate in Community and Regional Planning, and Water Resources at the University of New Mexico.
