This week! We share a lecture from the UNM Africana Studies Cortez Williams Lecture Series, featuring Dr. Stephanie Evans. Dr. Evans is
Professor and Chair for the Department of African American Studies, and Africana Women’s Studies and History for Clark Atlanta University.

She researches Black women’s intellectual history, focusing on memoirs and mental health.

Dr. Evans is also Curator of Black Women’s Studies Booklist, a Digital Humanities Web Resource. She is the Editor of Black Women’s Wellness Book Series at SUNY Press. In this podcast, Dr. Evans discusses “Africana Studies and Institutional Wellness.”
