Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
Roberto Chene- “The Validation of Community“
Generation Justice’s event last night was amazing and exactly what I, and I’m sure so many there, needed after such an infamous day. I was so impressed by the young ladies, your team, the forum and honorees. It was a sampling of the best New Mexico has to offer in terms of those who’ve made such substantial long term investment, a program that’s stewarding beautiful young minds into consciousness and action, and a testament to the intrinsic value of our youth’s cultural insight. I came away from the night so energized and hopeful.

I learned about and honor 3 giants I didn’t know and one I know well. The articles and the videos were very well done. I appreciate the energy, effort and thoughtfulness that went into creating these projects and the evening.

Thank you, Generation Justice, for filling me with hope and reminding me as you honored four NM social justice giants last night that we are one people, one community, one world. We cannot and will not go back as we follow the love and energy of our young people!

What an inspiring evening spent at the Generation Justice, “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants” event honoring Roberto Chene, Mary Dudley, Judge John Romero and Arturo Sandoval! Community. It is who we are. We must strengthen our community–working together and organizing.
