At the Cesar Chavez march, on March 27th, 2010, A KUNM Youth Radio Member Abby Magnus, interviewed the Executive Director of the National Hispanic Cultural Center, Estevan Rael-Galvez. In the interview, Estevan Rael-Galvez speaks about the importance of activism, raising consciousness and supporting community and how Cesar Chavez stood for those basic pillars.

In this particular interview, Lucia Martinez speaks to Michael Casaus, who is the Regional Director of the Sierra Club and the Co-Chair for the Recuerda a Cesar Chavez Committee. The RCCC actually organizes the annual Cesar Chavez day march and celebration and was founded in 1933.

On Saturday, March 27th, the KUNM Youth Radio Project attended the Cesar Chavez march in the South Valley of New Mexico. KUNM Youth Radio members, interviewed several people in the community who attended the march to find out what Cesar Chavez meant to them.
