Jessie Weahkee is Cochiti, Zuni, Navajo, and Chicana from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born into activism, Jessie chooses to use her love and rich background in media and storytelling to fight for social justice. She is a former graphic designer, filmmaker, organizer, and a graduate of Phillips Andover Academy’s (MS)^2 Program and is currently working towards her degree in Sociology and Communication. When Jessie is not studying, editing, reading, or writing, she can usually be found with her little sister and brothers, creating art, hiking the mountains with her dog, sitting in the sunshine, or talking to strangers.
