Kamaria brings with her technical skills such as audio engineering, audio editing, audio recording, and much more. She has been with the project for 4 years. Previous to being the Technical Specialist, Kamaria worked for the KUNM Production department as a Production Assistant for 3 years. Kamaria grew up in Hobbs, NM. and went to high school in Santa Fe at Santa Fe Prep. She is 25 years old, half African-American and half Japanese. She is a recent graduate of the University of New Mexico with a double major in Chemistry and Broadcast Journalism. Her father, a long time volunteer at KUNM, helped to expose her to the radio world, and also gave her a broad musical taste. “I enjoy listening to a wide range of music, playing jazz riffs on my flute and DJ-ing music shows whenever I can at KUNM and “Soul Notes” at KSFR (both local public radio stations).” She also has a love for art, both creating it, and discovering new art pieces.
