Lucia is a proud Xicana, New Mexican and alumna of Generation Justice. Currently, she lives in Washington, DC and is a digital campaigner at Free Press, a media and tech policy organization that fights to protect our rights to connect and communicate. Lucia coordinates the technical execution of Free Press’ online work and focuses on digital engagement, content creation and social media strategy. Lucia earned her B.A. in Latino/a & Latin American Studies at Occidental College, where she was an organizer with the Coalition at Oxy for Diversity and Equity. She is Civic Opportunities Initiative Network scholar and received the 2015 UEPI Community Action Award. She has a passion for racial justice and media justice and a love for tacos and dance floors.
