GJ and other organizations fought successfully to expand the Lifeline Program to include Broadband Internet Access. This program provides subsidized phone and internet access to low-income individuals and families. A few years earlier, GJ was also involved in the campaign to save Lifeline from major cuts that would have eliminated the program altogether.
