Generation Justice’s event last night was amazing and exactly what I, and I’m sure so many there, needed after such an infamous day. I was so impressed by the young ladies, your team, the forum and honorees. It was a sampling of the best New Mexico has to offer in terms of those who’ve made such substantial long term investment, a program that’s stewarding beautiful young minds into consciousness and action, and a testament to the intrinsic value of our youth’s cultural insight. I came away from the night so energized and hopeful.
Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
On January 20 2017, we hosted Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, an event to honor these community leaders who have dedicated their lives to building social justice in New Mexico: Roberto Chene, Mary Dudley, Judge John Romero, and Arturo Sandoval.
Nuevo Mexico is historically known for independence, resistance and resilience. We wanted to honor each of these New Mexicans who have the knowledge and experience of upholding the values of love, social justice and equity. #HonorOurGiants
