National Hispanic Cultural Center’s 10 Year Celebration: Senator Tom Udall [Video] – Generation Justice

On October 10, 2010 the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) celebrated its ten-year anniversary in Albuquerque, NM with a community open house. The NHCC featured local performers, behind the scenes tours, dance classes, hands-on art, and the unveiling of the fresco inside the Torreon. KUNM Youth Radio Project's Luna Olavarria-Gallegos interviews U.S. Senator Tom Udall. The Senator shares the importance of the National Hispanic Cultural Center on a personal and national level.

Back 2 School Summit [Video] – Generation Justice

On September 18, 2010 the Coalition for Immigration, Race and Social Justice held the Back 2 School Summit at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Middle school, high school, and college aged students participated in workshops in the summit, which ranged from blogging to learning about the Dream Act. KUNM Youth Radio Project’s Danya Mustafa and Victor Torres lead the Blog Workshop and participated in the summit.
