The KUNM Youth Radio Project recently attended The Fame and Shame Awards at the KIMO Theatre in Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Danya Mustafa, who is a member of the KUNM Youth Radio project, interviewed Windy Gay who is the Contest Director of the Talk Back to Big Tobacco Contest. In this interview, Danya and Windy speak about the importance of the annual event and possible solutions to get the youth more involved in their communities.

On Saturday April 24th, the KUNM Youth Radio Project attended a local fundraiser hosted by the Southwest Organizing Project. The fundraiser was held in order to raise money for this year’s upcoming United States Social Forum. The yard sale took place at SWOP where the KUNM Youth Radio Project members conducted several interviews.
