ABQ Launches Security Camera Mapping System
Outside of a gas station, Albuquerque’s Mayor Berry announced the newest initiative to fighting crime: the Security Camera Analytical Network. It’s an online database that will hold the livestreams of both businesses and residential security cameras all in one place. (via The Albuquerque Journal)
Apple Removes All VPN Apps From Its Chinese App Store
VPNs are Virtual Private Networks, allowing users secure, personal internet connections. In China, VPNs are seen as a threat to their censorship of the internet, so they’ve banned them. Roomba CEO Swears That He Will Never Sell Maps of Users’ Homes, So Help Him God
After last week’s news that Roomba was selling the map of your home, Roomba’s CEO went all out to reassure customers that their “consent” was required before the free maps were shared. However, there’s still language in their privacy policy that does not commit to Roomba never selling your data. (via Gizmodo)
